The Story So Far – Week 28

Monday 31st August 2020

More history.

I returned to the Patrington area. Came across some famous characters – Guy Fawkes and his ‘ gang’….legend has it that they may have plotted the attempted blowing up of Parliament in this area – possibly at nearby Welwick.
The view of Patrington is taken from across the village cricket green. A typical traditional English village scene…cricket field overlooked by a nearby church.

Even my bike looks quite serene  in this environment- propped up against the lamppost!!!!

Tuesday 1st September 2020

Before dawn…low lying mist but a beautiful day about to emerge.
The peace, the beauty of our world early morning.

Wednesday 2nd September 2020

Another enchanting morning.  Scally and friends adore our early morning rides.

Thursday 3rd September 2020

Again, as I travel extensively through the villages in our region I see the many reminders of the sacrifice so many ordinary people gave during the World Wars.
Lelley is another of those very small villages yet even so they remember their heroes.

Friday 4th September 2020

These pictures depict the changing faces of the sky as I start  my early morning adventures.

Today…I set off in moonlight with mackerel clouds showing their pattern across the face of the moon…then the sun rise – beautiful as ever – followed by the full ball of fiery sunshine as daytime gets underway.

Saturday 5th September 2020

Couldn’t resist another cycle journey to Stone Creek…picturesque. Very comparable to the Norfolk Broads!! – Almost!   Nhsy always enjoys this peaceful area of our region.

Sunday 6th September 2020

Had to smile – first of all at the lovely dawn over the harvested fields. But then….a little later…..at the beautiful sun shining through the trees just above the stark contrast of a mini mountain of manure!! That’s the countryside!!!

Super travels again this week. Just adore the early morning trips. Managed 4 biathlons this week (totalling 26 miles each) which bumped my mileage up by another 116 miles for the entire week. Total now stands at 3,412 miles.
