Our school vision centres around our ‘motto’ of Every Child a Champion in Their Own Right’.
We are so pleased that the government has decided to further encourage schools to really emphasise the importance of relationships.
In this vastly changing world, our children deserve as much support as possible in coping with the demands and worries of everyday life.
So, with this in mind I provide you with an overview of the curriculum changes:
PSHE Curriculum – Personal, Social, Health Education now has a new strand called RSHE –Relationships, Sex, Health Education.
This involves greater emphasis on Relationships and Sex Education. No need for any parents to panic regarding Sex Education – this is all age appropriate. Schools have always looked at the birth of chicks and the life cycle of various creatures, as well as looking at how plants grow from seeds etc to explain the very basics of reproduction for example.
