The lesson objective for year 1 children was to create a simple healthy meal without a heat source.
The activity children were set was to design and make a healthy fruit face snack. The fruit that the children were given, allowed them to experiment with different colour, size and shape fruit to design their fruit face snack.
This activity helped to promote our healthy bodies topic which the children have engaged with enthusiastically.
The children were taught the importance of food hygiene before starting this activity. By handling the different types of fruit they learned the different texture each fruit had.
